Shingles and Strokes
Though this is not the first time I have had such a realization, learning new information can always be a humbling experience. I recently learned that having shingles on the skin around one’s eye can increase the risk of stroke. What’s even more curious and scary to me is that the average time from the rash to the stroke is FOUR months. At that time, some of us might even forget to mention the shingles that we had several months earlier! There are always new things to learn, and sometimes it is difficult to think that we will be able to get all the right information to use that new knowledge.
