Heads Up Display
While ophthalmologists have been talking about using different visualization methods for surgery for years, past attempts haven’t been that great.
We use microscopes to operate, so we have historically always leaned into the oculars of a microscope to see what we are doing for surgery. There have been headsets and big TVs that have been attempted as alternative methods to see that haven’t seemed too exciting to me.
I recently saw another one, which is another headset. This headset doesn’t seem to be that heavy, bulky, or intrusive. However, it looks kind of flimsy to me. Time will tell whether it will be any good!
