Adjustable Lens
A couple of decades ago, cataract surgery lens implants were more basic than they are today. There was also a higher rate of “refractive misses”–people who were not happy with their “without glasses vision” after cataract surgery. At that time, there was a lot of desire for an adjustable lens implant, so that the “without glasses vision” could be tweaked after the surgery. A lot of energy went into producing that type of adjustable lens implant, but, unfortunately, it seems that, in the meanwhile, some of the demand has gone down. That is because the lens implants have gotten better and the formulas for selecting lens implants have also gotten better.
