Minor Procedures?

After even very simple procedures, I tend to use eye drops for a short period of time. I have heard of other physicians who do not use any post-operative eye drops in similar situations. Most of the time, there are no issues. But once in a while, I hear a story about how a patient has a serious complication that might have been avoided with post-operative eye drops. That makes me feel that using the eye drops is still a good idea. Even though it might not make a difference in a lot of cases, there are still some patients who will be spared a complication. Since we don’t know in advance who will get that benefit, I treat everybody.
