Eye Jewelry?
Over the years, we have seen many advertisements for eye jewelry. Sometimes this is placed inside the eyeball itself, and sometimes it is fixated to the outside of the eyeball. All of these types of procedures have a high risk for causing eye irritation. They might even cause infections, some of which can be vision-threatening. So, for anyone who has ever thought about this: is it really worth the risk? I’d say definitely not, and I would recommend against any type of purely cosmetic eye implant. [Note that this statement does not apply to things like artificial iris implants or other cases that would NOT be considered purely cosmetic.]
