I feel like I write too many posts like this, so I apologize if I am being repetitive. I just heard about another expensive industry product that seems to be doing some harm. I suppose I can’t say for sure whether it is doing more harm than good, but this harm is not associated with some of our tried and true practices that it is designed to replace.
I am all for innovation and trying new things, but I think that jumping on every bandwagon is definitely too risky. At the end of the day, I feel that we as ophthalmologists are responsible for each and every patient’s eye (and life) that we encounter, and that is not a responsibility to be taken lightly.
